Practical: Self-titled

In order to import the photoshop file into after effects, I need to arrange my files in photoshop into different layers to later be edited. In addition to that I also need to rasterize my layer masks and flatten any necessary layers. After that I started to work on after effects. Attached below is how I animate on of the clouds. I then repeated this process for the other clouds.

After that I want to make the flowers on the top left and right move. For this I used puppet pin tool. Attached below is how I use it for the top left flower, I then repeat this process for the right one.

Lastly, I wanted to add texture into the animation. To do this I used existing ones from effects and presets and adjust accordingly. Attached below is the process on how I use and adjust it.

After that, I put in some background music, added the file to the rendering cue and export it. Below is my final work.

Reflections

In this task, I used adobe after effects for the first time. I first learn about transformation, position, and scaling, which I am able to catch up quickly. Then, I became very curious and wanted to explore more of after effects. So, I began searching for tutorials on Youtube and ended up learning how to use puppet pin tool along side effects and presets window in after effects. 

 

I encountered some troubles when I wrongly use a layer when trying to make puppet animation, causing me not to be able to copy paste the keyframe. I searched for answers and then I understood that at that time I changed the keyframe in mesh rotation refinement instead of changing it in the mesh layer. 

Although animation isn't that important for  this module, I learned a lot by doing this task. Now my knowledge of adobe after effect expands, and I am eager to learn more about it.
