Reflective writing

                It's been 6 weeks since I started studying digital photography and imaging in the design (creative media) course. At first I thought that the design course will require a lot of traditional drawings, since where I came from, Indonesia, most design courses are mainly focused on them. But after 6 weeks here I now know that our studies are more focused on digital ones, which is great as technology continues to strive as time goes by.

                In Digital Photography and Imaging I learned a lot about composition and how to use photoshop. For me, photoshop is a new application in which I'm not that familiar with, so it was quite a challenge for me to work my way through it. But because of the task given I became more and more comfortable it the application, especially after project 1(B), which requires me to edit a lot of images within a short period of time.

                I found myself in quite a bit of trouble from time to time as things usually don't go smoothly, there's a time where layers were on top of another and effecting each other, or other times where the masking layer isn't too precise. It took me a long while to overcome this challenges, however at the end I figure out how to work around it and create alternative solutions to the problem.

                Overall, I found Digital Photography and Imaging very interesting as studying photoshop was one of my wish list that I always postponed on. I also think that studying this module will be very helpful for me in the future, especially to find a job later on.
